15 years of Office for Women Programming
Partnering for Promotion
In an effort to increase the number of women and minority faculty, the Office for Women developed this series of workshops to support and encourage their participation in the promotion and tenure process.
Women's Film Series
Films addressing current concerns of women or historical and social issues are shown followed by a panel discussion. Past events have focused on civil rights, suffragette history, Hispanic women, body image, gendered communication, and women in politics.
Crossing Michigan Street - Information for Your Good Health
This is a “brown bag” series focusing on the special health concerns of women and their families. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to bring their "brown bag" lunches and listen to health profession experts from the north side of campus across Michigan Street as they address a variety of issues including anxiety disorders, obesity, sleep disturbances, contraception, hormone replacement therapy, relationship health and domestic violence.
