The magazine, with the help of education experts, including staff members of the Association of American colleges and Universities, identified eight such programs. College presidents, chief academic officers, and deans of admission were invited to nominate up to 10 institutions with "stellar examples" of each kind of program. Colleges and universities that were mentioned most often were then listed for each program. IUPUI was listed for its first-year experiences, learning communities, and service learning programs. Other programs that were identified as being linked to student success were writing in the disciplines, study abroad, undergraduate research/creative projects, internships, and senior capstone. http://info.iupui.edu/news/page/normal/3285.html
