Women’s History Month Annual Leadership Awards
As part of the Women’s History Month observance every year in March, women student leaders are recognized and celebrated at an annual leadership reception sponsored by the Office for Women and Campus & Community Life. In March 2002 recognition awards were inaugurated for faculty and staff as well as students as a part of this event. Outstanding women full-time faculty and staff have been honored each year. IUPUI Women at HERS/Bryn Mawr Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education
The Summer Institute for Women in Higher Education Administration is a month-long residential training opportunity which prepares participants to work with issues currently facing higher education. It is held on the campus of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. The institute seeks to improve the status of women in the middle and executive levels of higher education administration. The Office for Women coordinates the campus application process for candidates to this prestigious national residential training institute. IUPUI has sent over 30 women leaders to this institute since 1988. IUPUI Bryn Mawr alumnae have helped fund these efforts through the Office for Women Kathy Warfel Fund.
