$tart $mart Workshop #1

The $tart $mart workshop is geared to women who are college juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students, to provide them with knowledge and skills when approaching the job market to negotiate salaries and benefits so that they receive fair and realistic compensation. Participants will learn about the consequences of the gender wage gap; learn about job titles, functions, and salary ranges; learn negotiation skills and practice through role play exercises and learn their bottom line through developing a realistic budget. Interested men are welcome to participate. The Start Smart Workshop was created by the WAGE project, a non-profit national organization dedicated to the elimination of the gender wage gap. The Start Smart Campus Initiative is supported by the American Association of University Women.
